Loiseau and Goulet both receive offers to fight at UFC 97 in Montreal

Andy Cotterill of Sherdog.com is reporting that Canadians David “The Crow” Loiseau and Jonathan “The Road Warrior” Goulet have both received offers to appear at UFC 97 in Montreal, Quebec.

According to the report, Loiseau is currently expected to face Team Quest member Ed “Short Fuse” Herman.

Since leaving the UFC in 2006, Loiseau has righted his career going 4-2 securing wins over Todd Gouwenberg, Andrew Buckland, Freddie Espiricueta, and Solomon Hutcherson.

Jonathan Goulet has received an offer to face Tamdan McCrory but before he can accept he must be cleared by doctors.

UFC 97 is tentatively scheduled for April 18, 2009 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec. The card will be headlined by a middleweight title bout featuring Anderson Silva defending his title against challenger Thales Leites.
