Gassaway Withdraws From TKO 35; Forrest Petz to Replace

Sherdog.com is reporting that Brian Gassaway has withdrawn from his scheduled bout with T.J. Grant at TKO 35: Hioki vs. Quenneville. Grant will now step into the cage with UFC veteran Forrest Petz.

Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia’s TJ Grant had been getting ready to square off against veteran Brian Gassaway in a welterweight match, but last Friday TKO President Stephane Patry called and offered Grant a bout against recent UFC veteran Forrest Petz after Gassaway withdrew for personal reasons.

According to the report, the winner of Grant-Petz will receive a shot at TKO welterweight champion Jesse Bongfeldt’s title.

TKO 35: Hioki vs. Quenneville is scheduled for Friday, October 3, 2008 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec.
