Spike TV reveals participants for The Ultimate Fighter 8

Today Spike TV announced the names of 32 fighters set to compete for the 16 spots on The Ultimate Fighter 8. The list includes some notable names including Canadians Krzysztof Soszynski and Ryan Jimmo.
Heading up the coaching staffs will be UFC interim heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir. Upon the conclusion of the show, Mir and Nogueira will meet in a title bout at the UFC event set for December 27th in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Krzysztof Soszynski
Ryan “Big Deal” Jimmo has carved his name into the Canadian MMA circuit by amassing an impressive record of 6-1 while fighting for grassroots promotions such as Extreme Caged Combat and the Maximum Fighting Championships. Jimmo is currently riding a six-fight winning streak with victories over the likes of Craig Zellner, Samir Seif, and Jeff Lundberg.
The other Canadian set to appear on the show is Krzysztof Soszynski who is arguably the favorite the win the light heavyweight tournament. Soszynski has a decorated record which includes stints in HDNet Fights and the IFL.
Soszynski was expected to appear at UFC 58: Canada vs. USA but due to unfortunate circumstances the opportunity never materialized. Soszynski, a former heavyweight, currently owns the TKO heavyweight title and holds victories over the likes of Icho Larenas, Marcus Hicks, and Robert Villegas.
The Ultimate Fighter 8 premieres September 17th at 10 PM EST on Spike TV.
