Jason Day vs. Jason Lambert Added to UFC 88

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has announced that Canadian-middleweight Jason “Dooms” Day will meet Jason Lambert at UFC 88: Breakthrough in Atlanta, Georgia.
Day, a member of the Canadian Martial Arts Centre, possesses a mixed martial arts record of 17-7-0. Day holds victories over notable names such as Jonathan Goulet, Ron Faircloth, and David “The Crow” Loiseau. Day made his UFC debut in April 2008 where he shocked fans stopping Alan Belcher with strikes late in the first stanza. Day wasn’t so successful in his latest outing losing to UFC middleweight contender Michael “The Count” Bisping.
Jason “The Punisher” Lambert, a member of the North County Fight Club, possesses a mixed martial arts record of 23-8-0. Lambert holds victories over Matt Horwich, Rob MacDonald, Terry Martin, Marvin Eastman, Renato “Babalu” Sobral and Travis Wiuff. This bout will mark Lambert’s debut at middleweight as the former heavyweight and light heavyweight is coming off consecutive stoppages to the hands of Wilson Gouveia and Luis Arthur Cane.
UFC 88: Breakthrough is scheduled for Saturday, September 6, 2008 in Atlanta, Georgia. The card will be headlined by former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell when he battles Team Jackson’s Rashas Evans.
