According to the Ottawa Sun (actually, the link is from cfrb).

A mixed martial arts fighter remains in a coma after a swarming at a Gatineau hotel room.

Gatineau Police tell the Ottawa Sun three men were Tasered, beaten with bottles, kicked and punched when they were confronted by a group of up to 10 men early Sunday morning in an apparent robbery attempt.

The Sun quotes police as saying the victims were two fighters and a promoter from Saturday’s Freedom Fight mixed martial arts event at the Robert Guertin Arena.

CTV Ottawa says the two other victims were treated and released from hospital.

A number of women in the room at the time of the incident were not injured.

UPDATE: So far, we know that Claude Patrick and Pete Rodley were two of the victims. Claude was in a coma for 24 hours and he’s doing better (thank God). So much for Canada being so safe. I hope they find these scumbags.
