Affliction’s Debut Show Taking Shape

Affliction, the popular clothing company, has made it official announcing that they’ll be holding their debut event titled “Banned” on July 19, 2008 at the Honda Center in Anahiem, California. The main event will feature top ranked heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko and former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia.

The main event is impressive but the supporting cast is even better. MMA HQ is reporting that the undercard will feature bouts such as Josh Barnett vs. Pedro Rizzo, Ben Rothwell vs. Andrei Arlovski, Aleksander Emelianenko and many more.

Though it’s been rumored, Affliction is still in the process of attempting to secure a TV deal and it looks as if discussions with Mark Cuban’s HDNet have stalled.

Definitely, that card is looking amazing. Hopefully Affliction is intelligent with the way they spent their money so we see more then two events.

very true Scott…should be a great night of fights anyway. I’m looking forward to seeing Mike Pyle fight again.
