Fitch Discusses Upcoming Bout With St. Pierre
In a recent interview with FightHype.com, Jon Fitch provided his thoughts on his upcoming UFC welterweight title bout with champion Georges “Rush” St. Pierre.
”I just want to make it a gritty fight. That’s what I do. No matter if I win or lose a fight, you will be beat up afterwards. Some guys submit you or knock you out and a couple hours later, you’re okay. Not my fights. I make it gritty and beat up on you. I think that’s key. No one has ever really fought GSP like that and made it a real gritty fight and that’s what I plan on doing.”

I guess Jon doesn’t want to give away his game plan for GSP. “I plan to fight gritty”. Ok Jon, go gritty then. Whatever that means??? Must be tough for Jon but he’s a tough guy and probably really belives he can beat GSP but there is just no way. GSP has the edge in MMAwrestling, kicking, jabs, superman punches, probably stronger, probably better BJJ,even doubt Jon’s cardio is on GSP’s level. GSP’s focused, he won’t underestimate Fitch and he’s going to dominate him like he did to Kos or destroy him like he did Serra, Hughes, Hughes, Trigg, Sherk and Miller. Fitch is a good strong wrestler and pretty well rounded now but is not is GSP’s league in any area. 1st round G’n'P TKO or maybe 2nd round.
