The Fight Network is reporting that UFC veteran David “The Crow” Loiseau may now face Jason “Dooms” Day in a rematch at HCF: Crow’s Nest on March 29.

Loiseau was originally scheduled to face “The Ultimate Fighter 3”cast member Solomon Hutcherson. A few weeks later, HCF CEO Keith Crawford revealed that depending on the outcome of his bout, Loiseau would be headlining HCF: Crow’s Nest in a middleweight affair with PRIDE vet Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos. Santos, much like Loiseau, lost his Feb. 1 bout falling victim to the hands of Gegard Mousasi.

According to the report, Loiseau’s camp was unhappy with the decision and they felt ring rust played a big factor in Loiseau’s performance.

“We’re looking for a rematch,” Loiseau said. “They’re looking at replacing Santos with Day, but it’s not for sure. That’s the fight the fans want to see. It has to happen. I can’t wait to do it again.”

“I’m mad at the decision, but I’m also mad at myself for not finishing him,” Loiseau said. “My job is to finish fights, and I didn’t finish him. It was my first fight in 10 months. Man, was there ever a lot of ring rust. It was ridiculous; it was horrible.”

Prior to HCF: Destiny, Loiseau spent nearly eight months rehabbing an injured hand which ultimately required surgery. The injury occurred during his May 11, 2007 bout with Freddie Espiricueta at Art of War 2.
